When you are tasked with shooting the engagements for one of Fort Worth’s most powerful couples, the stress can be a little overwhelming. Luckily, this “Power Couple” is made up of the sweetest and most creative two people I know. In the 5 years (whoa) I’ve known them, watching them grow with each other has been a pure delight. I am excited and thankful to see two awesome and amazing people tie the knot today! Congratulations Zach & Rebekah!Read More

When your best friend asks you to come over and shoot her maternity photos you naturally show up with a whole bunch of milk and tell her to hop in the bathtub, right?!? Well that's what we did and they came out awesome. And of course we had to get some silly silhouette shots too! Congrats to Shelby and Chris and the beautiful baby girl they brought into this world!Read More
Henry The Archer printed some new shirts and needed some quick promo shots showing off the new style. I called up our friend Savannah and had her come over so I could snap a few pics. From concept to completion this probably took less then an hour, easily one of the quickest shoots I have ever thrown together. And the results, well you can see below:Read More
The Burning Hotels rang in the grand opening of Lola's new expansion, The Trailer Park. Built as an open patio and bar situated just outside the backdoor of Lola's proper. It includes a large open air stage that is big enough to accommodate the largest DFW bands while still feeling like your playing to an intimate crowd under the evening sky. This also marked the first time the Burning Hotels played live in almost a year. You can hear more of what they have been up to, and what the future has in store for them on the Jerry Jonestown Massacre, a podcast that I also co-host: http://jerryjonestownmassacre.com/2016/03/23/show-148-burning-hotels-enter-temple/Read More
You know what makes you feel old? When you do a photoshoot for a high school senior and you can still remember the day they were born. Tyler is the son of proud parents Sean and Mindi Bone, and I have known Mindi every since our days at LD Bell High School. After high school Mindi became friends with my then girlfriend, now wife, Jennifer when they were both working at the same insurance company. Since then the parallels that have been made between both of our families are pretty odd and fascinating. But this post is about Tyler, one the nicest and most sincere high school kids you will ever meet. I want to congratulate him and wish him the best as he moves on from high school and enters this crazy world we live in. Keep your head up and don't let anyone discourage you!Read More
For the trifecta in the Henry the Archer video series, I got together with the band for their last single Means Nothing from the album by the same name. What turned out as a fairly large and calculated production, actually only took about 8 hours to shoot, and went way smoother then any of us expected.Read More
It's that time of year again, where 68 girls from all over the country converge at Gas Monkey Live to compete for the crown of Miss Twin Peaks 2015. Like always, it was a fun night with a packed house cheering on their favorite Twin Peak's girl, and in the end it was Miss Aubrey Smith from Wichita Kansas that ended up taking the crown.Read More
I've been a terrible blog owner, but it's really not my fault. Nope, I blame it all on my clients who have done a fantastic job of keeping me extremely busy. So busy that I almost forget that I have this website. But honestly it hasn't been that bad of a problem and I thank all my clients for it!
So let me take a few minutes to announce that I'm now doing video work...again. It's been roughly 15 years since I did my last music video and at least 10 years since the last commercial video I shot/directed/produced. But thanks to Richard Hennessy, lead singer/guitarist in the fantastic band Henry The Archer, I'm back making videos again.Read More

A band, a field, smoke, and a raw approach. A simple concept drawn on a bar napkin turned into the image above. And Henry the Archer was the perfect band to accomplish it.
Henry the Archer is the brain child of native New Jersey boy Richard Hennessy. Last year Richard was given the opportunity to transfer his job down to Fort Worth, Texas, so he made his way down south with the hopes of keeping Henry the Archer alive. Shortly after arriving he joined forces with Kevin Geist on drums, and Matt Hembree on bass to round out a three piece of post punk and sex pop.Read More
About 3 years ago after an Eye Was Once Eaten practice, Matt Stubbs threw out the idea of starting a podcast. Now there are a lot of ideas (some of them rather insane) thrown around during a band practice, but this one actually stuck with me. I have been an avid listener to podcasts for several years now, mostly tech and political conspiracy style shows, but doing one our self seemed like a fun idea. Unfortunately between my family, photography, and being in a band there wasn't much time to try and fit a podcast in.Read More
The problem with doing commercial shoots is that sometimes you have to wait a really long time to post any of the photos. Like in the case of this shoot with Emerson Windy that we did in April of 2013. But it's completely understandable when your dealing with an artist that is building out their promotional material for future campaigns. In fact I just wrapped up a badass shoot with Emerson a couple of weeks ago that will be used over the next few months for a marketing and album campaign that I'm dieing to show everyone. Seriously rad!Read More
Confession; One of my favorite shoots to do is Bridals. And what puts these shoots over the top is when you have an awesome bride that introduces you to a place you've never been to, much less knew existed. When Nikki and I met, she told me that she wanted to shoot her bridals at the same location her reception was going to be, The Dallas Heritage Village. I've worked, shot, all around Dallas for years, and I never knew this place existed.....a stones throw from downtown in one direction and the Cedar's in the other. The village is a photography playground, with so much to shoot around that we could have shot there for a couple of days.Read More
It's been a long summer of private and commercial shoots, but when the calendar turns to fall and the temperatures start to drop, that means it's time to start having fun with this years High School Seniors!Read More
I've fallen behind with my posts on this trip, I was hoping my schedule wouldn't be this crazy when I returned from Africa. But you know what they say about idle minds.....
Our day began just before sunrise as we all met up at "the meeting" spot before loading into our Land Rovers. It was a crisp cool morning and todays hunt was for the elusive leopard and a big male lion. As exited out of the back gate of camp we didn't have to go further then a couple of hundred yards to see our favorite pride of cats.Read More
My morning began at 5:30am in a tent, in the Masai Mara, in Africa. I laid there in bed for a few minutes soaking in my surroundings and listening to the pre-dawn ambience of insects and animals that make up this part of the world. Those few minutes might have been some of the most tranquil minutes of my life.
Okay, by this point we are 6 days into our travel and have reached the un-official "day off" before departing on our safari. So Olivia, Jort, Shelby, and I decide to take the day and roam around Nairobi checking out a few sights and a local bazaar. Nairobi is the only city in the world to have a protected wildlife reserve within the city that has a full array of rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, buffaloes, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, and so on. A great majority of our day was going to be spent in and around the park.Read More
Once again, it's that time of year. The days get longer, the temperature gets hotter, and the bikini's come out. Yep, It's full on bikini season and what a better way to kick it off then with the annual Twin Peaks Bikini Contest!
This year we did something a little different for the girls at the Round Rock Twin Peaks restaurant; we all met up at the Hilton Garden Suites and set up shop. The girls got their hair and make-up done by Christina Shepek, Stacy Shepek, and Andrea Fernandez, and then got a quick little photo shoot by Eric Garcia and myself.Read More
So I haven't been to terribly regular at keeping this blog up to date. A lot of that has to do with how busy my wonderful clients have kept me over the last few months, and for this I'm incredibly thankful for. So right now I want to give a big THANK YOU to all of you for keeping me busy!
Every year I put this list together of albums that have been in regular rotation in my life. It's really just a way of recording what I liked so that way later on in life I can either praise or make fun of my musical choices for that year.Read More
